Spooks: Series Eight

5th August, 2009

BACK to The Grid this week as filming comes to a close on the new series of Spooks.
The usual embargo applies, I’m afraid.
So I can’t reveal any details yet, which I know is frustrating for fans.
Aside from the fact that Section D had run out of milk.
And that there’s a great deal to look forward to in series eight.
Including what happens to Harry (Peter Firth) after his kidnap by the Russians at the end of the last series.
Those Spooks’ cliffhangers, you’ve got to love them, haven’t you?
Word on the set is that episode one is “brilliant”.

With the eight-part series itself having raised the bar yet again.
Lucas (Richard Armitage) heads into that “deeper and more dangerous territory” promised in the release announcing the 2009 return of Spooks.
Among other things.
Filming is due to wrap next week with Spooks set to return to BBC1, as usual, this autumn.
Don’t know about you, but I can’t wait.

  1. Hello, Mr. Wylie! I am thrilled by your comments on Spooks series 8, especially the one about Lucas – when will you end our torment and post your next Spooks blog? I’ve already a count-down on my calendar (no kidding).
    Kindest regards, Ingrid
