Sadly no Bradley
Monday, October 15th, 2007AFTER all that build-up, Bradley Wiggins didn’t make it to the Ramsbottom Rake Hill Climb in the end. The Olympic gold medal-winning cyclist pulled out.
So with Wiggins out of the road, as it were, it was left to Formby-based cyclist Jim Henderson – who wins the race practically every year – to take the prize again. (For those of you who like your stats, it was the seventh time in 10 years he has won it.) He wins a bike worth £800.
