The Citroen C3 Picasso

IT’S not on sale yet and has already been honoured as Top Gear’s Family Car of the year.
Now Citroen has announced prices for the funky-looking C3 Picasso, with ownership available from £11,495 for the entry level car, featuring a 1.4VTi 16v engine in VT trim.
Top of the range is the 1.6HDi 16V which will be priced at £15,595.
Endorsing the C3 Picasso’s position in the marketplace, and highlighting Citroen’s commitment to producing quality vehicles that are right for both the current market and for the future, industry experts, CAP Monitor1, have predicted that it will have best in class second-hand values.
Based on the 1.6HDi VTR+ model and three-year/60,000-mile values, the C3 Picasso is predicted to retain 37.17 per cent of its value – some 10 per cent better than competitor models.
Going head to head with the Nissan Qashqai in the chunky looks and practicality stakes, the C3 Picasso will initially be launched as a four-seater but looks as though it could easily be extended to Grand status in order to make room for another couple of seats.
Exact equipment and specification will be announced% when the model goes on sale on April 9.
